Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer

Today I just finish reading the new John Grisham novel entitled Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer. I was surprised that I've seen this book in the Young Adults section in the bookstore. Being a John Grisham fanatic who read all of his books, I bought this immediately and began reading.

The story is about a thirteen year old boy name Theodore Boone, who have a parents that are both lawyer. His dad is a real estate lawyer and his mom is a divorce lawyer. He even have an uncle that is a former tax lawyer but lost his license due to an incident that never been discussed in book. So to summarize Theo grew up in a family that revolves around law. So there's no surprise that he wants to be either a judge or a lawyer when he grew up. At a young age he knew all the judge, clerk, policeman, etc in his area. Because of his knowledge in law, most of his classmates and teachers ask him for advice pertaining to law.

One day he was faced with a confession from a friend that his cousin has witnessed something that might be relevant to an ongoing murder trial. What is cool about this book, is that Grisham really knows his targeted audience. There's no blood, groggy crime scene that he usually describe in his other books. Some might say that Grisham lost his touch since his other previous novels are not good such as The Bleachers and The Ford County. But hey this book is for YA so for me its a good book.

So shall I recommend you to read this book? Just so-so, read it to pass time. Read it when you are doing nothing. The book is not a page turner so its up to you my dear readers to decide.
